Disable an Interface

When you disable an interface, the interface name is automatically removed from the Alias list and any policy that uses it.

To disable an interface, from Fireware Web UI:

  1. Select Network > Interfaces.
    The Network Interfaces page appears.
  2. Select the interface you want to disable. Click Edit.
    The Interface Configuration page appears.
  3. From the Interface Type drop-down list, select Disabled.
  4. Click Save.
    In the Network Interfaces page, the interface now appears as type Disabled.

To disable an interface, from Policy Manager:

  1. Select Network > Configuration.
    The Network Configuration dialog box appears.
  2. Select the interface you want to disable. Click Configure.
    The Interface Settings dialog box appears.
  3. From the Interface Type drop-down list, select Disabled.
  4. Click OK.
    In the Network Interfaces page, the interface now appears as type Disabled.
