Configure DHCPv6 Server Prefix Delegation
You can configure the DHCPv6 server on a trusted, optional, or custom interface to delegate IPv6 prefixes to DHCPv6 clients that connect. To enable your device to delegate prefixes, you must add prefixes to the prefix pool. You can also add reserved prefixes to delegate to specific clients.
To add IPv6 prefixes to the DHCPv6 prefix pool, from Fireware Web UI:
- Enable IPv6 on a trusted, optional, or custom interface.
- In the IPv6 DHCP settings, select Use DHCP Server.
- Add IPv6 prefixes to the prefix pool.
To add IPv6 prefixes to the DHCPv6 prefix pool, from Policy Manager:
- Enable IPv6 on a trusted, optional, or custom interface.
- In the IPv6 DHCP settings, select Use DHCP Server.
- Click Configure.
- Add IPv6 prefixes to the prefix pool.

After you configure the prefix pool, you can configure DHCPv6 clients on your network to request a delegated prefix.
