Migrate Your Token
Applies To: AuthPoint Multi-Factor Authentication, AuthPoint Total Identity Security
If you get a new mobile device, you must migrate your WatchGuard tokens from your old device to the new one. When you migrate a token, AuthPoint deletes the token from your current mobile device and you receive an activation email to activate the token on a new device.
If you want to continue to use your old device for authentication, do not migrate your token. Instead, you must activate a new token on the new device. For more information, see Add a New Device.
You cannot migrate tokens that have been blocked by an AuthPoint administrator.
- On your old mobile device, open the AuthPoint mobile app.
- Next to your token, tap (Android) or (iOS) and select Migrate Token.
- Tap Yes when prompted to continue.
Your token is deleted and you receive an activation email you can use to activate the token on a new device. - Install the AuthPoint mobile app on your new mobile device.
- Open the activation email and activate your token on the new mobile device.
- On your old mobile device, open the AuthPoint mobile app.
- Tap (Android) or (iOS) and select Migrate All Tokens.
- Select the confirmation check box.
- Tap Yes.
Your tokens are deleted. For each token, you receive an activation email you can use to activate that token on a new device. - Install the AuthPoint mobile app on your new mobile device.
- Open the activation emails and activate your tokens on the new mobile device.
