Configure Network Services
Applies To: WatchGuard Advanced EPDR, WatchGuard EPDR, WatchGuard EDR, WatchGuard EPP
On the Network Services page, you specify how WatchGuard Endpoint Security communicates with computers on the network and WatchGuard Cloud. You can also apply an additional layer of protection for network access connections.
WatchGuard Proxy
On this page, you define computers that act as a WatchGuard proxy to enable isolated computers with the WatchGuard Agent installed to access WatchGuard Cloud.
We recommend that you configure a WatchGuard proxy only to enable isolated computers (those without an Internet connection, either direct or through a corporate proxy) to access WatchGuard Cloud.
For information on how to designate a computer as a WatchGuard proxy, go to Designate a Computer as a WatchGuard Proxy (Windows Computers). After you designate a Windows computer as a WatchGuard proxy it can be added to the list of available proxies in a Network Settings profile. For more information, go to Configure the Proxies List.
Cache
On this page, you define computers that act as a cache for signature files, security patches, and other components used to update WatchGuard Endpoint Security software installed on other computers and devices on the network.
For information on how to designate the cache role to a Windows computer, go to Designate a Cache Computer (Windows computers). After you designate a computer as a cache, you can add it to a network settings profile. For more information, go to Configure the Cache Computer List Manually.
Discovery
On this page, you define computers that discover unprotected computers on the network.
For information on how to designate the discovery role to a computer, go to Designate a Discovery Computer.
Network Access Enforcement
On this page, you enable and configure settings for network access enforcement for VPN or your Wi-Fi network. For more information, go to Configure Network Access Enforcement in WatchGuard Endpoint Security.
