Delete Operators

You can delete operators from your account or a managed account from the My Account page. When you delete an operator, that operator can no longer log in to WatchGuard Cloud.

An operator is not linked to user accounts for services managed in WatchGuard Cloud, such as AuthPoint or Endpoint Security. If an operator is also a user of a managed service, you must manage that user account separately. Any changes made to the operator do not affect the user account.

Your operator role determines what you can see and do in WatchGuard Cloud. Your role must have the Configure Operators permission to view or configure this feature. For more information, go to Manage WatchGuard Cloud Operators and Roles.

Delete an Operator

Service Provider accounts must have at least one Owner operator. If only one operator with the Owner role exists, you must add another before you can delete that operator.

To delete an operator:

  1. Log in to WatchGuard Cloud.
  2. Select Administration > Operators and Roles.
  3. On the Operators page, next to the operator you want to delete, click .

  1. Select Delete Operator.
  2. Click Delete.

No Access to WatchGuard Cloud

If you want to revoke access from an operator but do not want to delete the operator, you can change their role to No Access on the Operators page. Operators who have the No Access role cannot log in to WatchGuard Cloud until you assign a different role to them. When you assign operators an active role again, they can log in to WatchGuard Cloud with the permissions of that role.

Operators with the No Access role have a red status icon next to their user name.

Remove Operator Access

If you want to remove access to features, products, or services from an operator but do not want to delete the operator, you create a custom role with limited access. These operators with custom roles can still log in to WatchGuard Cloud but are limited to the areas of WatchGuard Cloud that they can view. You must select at least one permission.
