Troubleshoot Installation Errors on Endpoints with macOS Ventura

On computers that run macOS Ventura, if the macOS protection software is v3.01.0x.000x or earlier, an error occurs and installation fails. The installer does not return an error message and no progress shows on the endpoint. In the Endpoint Security management UI, the computer details page shows Installing...

Upgrade the macOS Protection Software
To resolve this issue, you must update the WatchGuard Agent and protection repository to the macOS protection version that supports Ventura.
We strongly recommend that you follow the upgrade recommendations in Endpoint Security Upgrade Process.
To install macOS protection software that is compatible with macOS Ventura:
- Open the Endpoint Security management UI.
- Select the Notifications bell icon.
- Click Upgrade.
If an Upgrade button is not available, contact your WatchGuard Sales Representative or partner. macOS Ventura devices with earlier versions of the protection software updates if they are included in groups with the Automatic Updates setting enabled. - To verify the updated protection software and repository, click and select About.
The macOS protection available should be equal to or higher than v3.02.00.0000.
- Select Computers.
- Select the macOS Ventura endpoint where you want to install the protection.
- Click Add Computers.
- Complete the installation wizard. For more information, go to Install the Endpoint Security Software on Mac Computers.
- When installation is complete, confirm that the macOS protection version is equal to or higher than v3.02.00.0000 from the endpoint or from the computer details pages in the management UI.
