PSInfo Sample Submit

You can use the PSInfo Sample Submit tool to send samples of undetected malware to WatchGuard Support for analysis by our malware laboratory.

To submit a sample file:

1. Run PSInfo.exe. For more information about PSInfo, go to About PSInfo.
   The PSInfo dialog box opens.
   
2. Select the Tools tab.

3. Double-click Sample Submit.
   The Sample Submit dialog box opens.

3. Select the sample file you want to submit.
   The MD5 hash shows for the file. You cannot select compressed files with the extension .ZIP, .GZ, .BZ2, .XZ, .7Z, .RAR, .Z, .LMZA, .LZH, .LZIP, .ALZ, .CAB, .TAR, .LZ4, .JAR, or .TAR.
4. From the drop-down list, select the scenario.
   • False Negative — Select to send an undetected file.
   • Other — Select to send large files.
     
5. Enter your email address in the text box.
6. In the Problem description text box, type the reason you want to submit a sample and your customer ID. If you have an open case with Support, include the case number. This automatically attaches the sample file to your case.
7. Click Report.
   PSInfo sends the sample file to WatchGuard.

Support sends an email confirmation to the email address you provide. The email contains your Support case number and further instructions.
