Disable or Delete a Policy
As your network security requirements change, you can disable or delete the policies in your configuration.
When you modify, delete, or disable a policy in your configuration, the policy change is applied to all future connections to or from your network. If a connection is active when you make the policy configuration change, the connection remains active until the connection is ended or your Firebox reboots.
- Select Firewall > Firewall Policies or Firewall > Mobile VPN IPSec Policies.
- Double-click the policy.
Or, select the policy. From the Action drop-down list, select Edit Policy. - Clear the Enable check box.
- Click Save.
You can disable a policy in two places in Policy Manager: the main Firewall or Mobile VPN with IPSec tabs, or the Edit Policy Properties dialog box.
To disable a policy from the Firewall or Mobile VPN with IPSec tab:
- Select the Firewall or Mobile VPN with IPSec tab.
- Right-click a policy and select Disable Policy.
The right-click menu option changes to Enable Policy.
To disable a policy in the Edit Policy Properties dialog box:
- Double-click a policy.
The Edit Policy Properties dialog box appears. - Clear the Enable check box.
- Click OK.
Delete a Policy
To delete a policy, from Fireware Web UI:
- Select Firewall > Firewall Policies or Firewall > Mobile VPN IPSec Policies.
- Select the policy. From the Action drop-down list, select Delete Policies.
A confirmation message appears. - Click Yes.
Your configuration changes are saved automatically.
To delete a policy, from Policy Manager:
- Select a policy.
- Click .
Or, select Edit > Delete Policy.
A confirmation dialog box appears. - Click Yes.
- To save the configuration to the Firebox, select File > Save > To Firebox.
- Type the configuration passphrase and select the Save to Firebox check box.
- Click Save.
