AuthPoint uses secure QR codes for authentication, which can only be decrypted with the built-in AuthPoint app QR code reader. When you authenticate with a QR code, you use the built-in QR code reader to read the code that appears on your computer screen. A standard code reader cannot decrypt the QR code for authentication with AuthPoint.
To decrypt the QR code with the AuthPoint QR code reader:
- In the AuthPoint app, tap
. - Point your phone camera at the QR code on the computer screen.
If your token is protected, you must validate your biometric ID or type your PIN.
The AuthPoint app reads the QR code and shows an Authentication Request page with a temporary verification code that you use to authenticate.
