Remove a Licensed FireCloud User

FireCloud is a service that is licensed by user. After you deploy FireCloud, the users that connect to FireCloud consume a user license and can use the FireCloud service.

If you connect FireCloud to an identity provider that has more users than use FireCloud, users are licensed on a first come, first served basis. For example, if your company has 100 Entra ID users and your FireCloud license only has 10 users to support a limited number of remote workers, the first 10 users that connect to FireCloud consume user licenses and can use the service, even if they are not the intended users.

You might remove a FireCloud user if they have not connected to FireCloud recently and you want to allow new users to connect to and use the FireCloud service.

You can control access to FireCloud with your access policies. For more information, go to Control Access to FireCloud.

To remove a licensed FireCloud user, from WatchGuard Cloud:

  1. Select Monitor > FireCloud. If you have a Service Provider account, you must select an account from Account Manager.
  2. Select Licensed Users.
  3. In the relevant user row, click Menu Icon and select Remove.

After you remove users, they can still connect to and use the FireCloud service ifusers remain on your license. When a removed user opens the client and connects to FireCloud, they are treated as a new user and must provide their WatchGuard Cloud account number when they log in.
