With the release of Fireware v12.8, WatchGuard announced the deprecation of the WatchGuard Log Server, Report Server, and Quarantine Server. WSM still includes these server components, but they are no longer supported in v12.9 and higher. We will remove them in a future WSM release.
You can manually start or stop the Log Server service at any time. You do not have to disconnect from your Log Server.
To start the service, from WatchGuard Server Center:
- Select Log Server in the Servers tree.
- Right-click Log Server and select Start Server.
The service starts and Log Server appears at the top of the Log Server page.
To stop the service, from WatchGuard Server Center:
- Select Log Server in the Servers tree.
- Right-click Log Server and select Stop Server.
A warning message appears. - Click Yes to confirm you want to stop the Log Server service.
The service stops and Log Server-Stopped appears at the top of the Log Server page.
