Provision a Password Vault

Applies To: AuthPoint Total Identity Security

The AuthPoint password manager is a legacy feature that is only available to accounts that purchased Total Identity Security before 1 October 2024. Accounts that purchased AuthPoint Total Identity Security after that date do not include the password manager. For more information, go to End of Availability for the AuthPoint Password Manager.

From the Users page, you can provision a new password vault for AuthPoint Total Identity Security user accounts. This deletes the existing password vault and everything in it, then creates a new password vault for the user. You might do this if the user forgot their vault password and does not have their recovery key, or if an error occurred with the creation of their password vault.

This action is permanent and the contents of the password vault cannot be recovered.

To provision the password vault for an AuthPoint Total Identity Security user account:

  1. In WatchGuard Cloud, select Configure > AuthPoint.
  2. From the navigation menu, select Users.

    The Users page appears.
  3. In the relevant user row, click and select Provision New Password Vault.
    A confirmation window appears.
  4. Confirm you want to provision the password vault, then click Remove.
    AuthPoint deletes the existing password vault and provisions a new password vault for the user account.
