WatchGuard recognized as a ‘Champion’ in the Canalys Global Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix
WatchGuard Technology was recognized as a Cybersecurity Channel Champion in the 2022 Canalys Global Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix. The Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix assesses vendor performance in the channel over the last 12 months based on partner feedback, vendor surveys, Canalys shipment estimates, and analyst insight.

WatchGuard’s scoring in Canalys Global Cybersecurity Leadership Matrix
The report’s vendor benchmark metrics showed WatchGuard scored highly in the following areas:
- Commitment to channel partners: 90.3%
- Quality of account management provided: 89.5%
- Quality of technical support provided: 88.3%
- Value of portals and tools: 88.3%
The report also called out WatchGuard’s integration of its full endpoint security suite and Wi-Fi offerings with WatchGuard Cloud and its FlexPay program to enable partners to drive more cross-sell opportunities. Introducing account-based marketing with partners helped WatchGuard generate more than $3 million in its pipeline during the first half of 2022.
A total of 19 cybersecurity vendors were assessed for the 2022 edition. The report identifies and positions vendors in one of four quadrants: Champions, Scalers, Contenders, and Foundations. In achieving Champion status, WatchGuard moved up from its Grower recognition in 2021 and advanced in the report’s rating and momentum axes.
