WatchGuard Signs The Climate Pledge, Commits to Net Zero by 2040

As a cybersecurity company, we spend every day thinking about how to protect the world from threats. As a global organization, WatchGuard has the power ‒ and the responsibility ‒ to step up and help fight the threat of unchecked climate change. That’s why we have signed The Climate Pledge and are deepening our commitment to environmental sustainability.

What does this mean?

We’re going to reach net-zero carbon across our global operations by 2040 – a full decade ahead of the Paris Climate Agreement’s target of 2050. To achieve this goal, we’re doubling down on and expanding our existing sustainability initiatives, including compliance with WEEE, RoHS, and ISO 14064 standards, recycling and waste reduction in our facilities, hybrid work policies and benefits to reduce the climate impact of employee commutes, and more.

As a proud signatory of the Pledge, we have committed to implementing new efficiency improvements, renewable energy, materials reductions, and other carbon emission elimination strategies. We’ll be measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions every year. And we’ll also explore carbon offset strategies to neutralize any remaining emissions. We’re excited to join over 550 Pledge signatories worldwide in driving meaningful action to improve the environment and life for our employees, customers, partners, and communities.

At WatchGuard we deliver Real Security for the Real World. Let’s work together to secure a real future for the world our grandchildren and theirs will grow up in, one that’s safer, greener, and more sustainable.
