Access Points Configuration Overview
Applies To: WatchGuard Cloud-managed Access Points (AP130, AP230W, AP330, AP332CR, AP430CR, AP432)
To configure an access point and your Wi-Fi networks in WatchGuard Cloud, you must perform these steps:
For quick start instructions on how to add your access points to WatchGuard Cloud, see Get Started with Wi-Fi in WatchGuard Cloud.
- Activate an Access Point for WatchGuard Cloud — You must first activate the access point in your WatchGuard account.
- Access Point Allocation — If you are a service provider, you must allocate the access point to a WatchGuard Cloud account.
- Add an Access Point to WatchGuard Cloud — Add your access point device to your WatchGuard Cloud account.
- Configure Access Point Device Settings — Configure device settings specific to an access point such as the access point name, description, time zone, IP address settings, management VLAN settings, NTP servers, and Device LEDs.
- Configure Access Point Radio Settings — Configure your wireless radio settings that are applied globally to the wireless network SSIDs you create, such as wireless modes and channel settings.
- Configure SSID Settings — To create a Wi-Fi network, you must add an SSID configuration and security settings for the network.
